The 6 acre wetland was constructed across from the Montour PPL power plant. The site was developed in 2006 to compensate for wetland impacts resulting from the construction of flue gas desulphurization retrofit. The wetlands contain many varieties of wetland grasses, bushes, and trees. To benefit wildlife, a bat house was constructed, several tree snags and brush piles added.
